Humberside has been a Bowls County since 1980.
Humberside has been running for 45 years, in this time we have seen so many changes – colors are playing a big part in the world of bowls we are seeing many player who have changed from the black standard set of bowls to a colored set, we are also seeing a changing the clothes of the uniform the players wear – gone of the day of grays and whites
Our first president was Mr Harry Drayton who was elected in 1981 he played for Scunthorpe. we have seen 45 presidents in this time and bowls is a more diverse sport introducing the ladies to the world of bowls.

Jean Ashley
Jean has started her first term as president and she is looking forward to seeing all the bowling.
Jean plays for Bottesford bowling club and enjoys having a laugh with people.

Paul Gray
Paul has been bowling for around 40 years, he plays for Humberside County and also plays at South Ferriby Vikings, Paul is now starting his six term as president for the county, Paul would like to take this opportunity to wish all the participants a successful season, Paul hope to see so many of you on the bowling green
